Mi Electric was appointed by Gold Coast City Council to install two full colour Variable Message Signs (VMS), one in Southport adjacent to the Sundale Bridge and the other near Tedder Avenue, Main Beach. These VMS will convey important information during the largest sporting event to be staged in Australia this decade, the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

As part of this installation, Mi Electric was required to travel to Sydney to witness Factory Acceptance Testing on the signs. Installation was conducted over two evenings to minimize potential disruption to traffic.
